Ricky Saints On Cody Rhodes: To Me, He’s Just My Friend
Ricky Saints speaks about his relationship with Cody Rhodes, admitting that he doesn’t brag too much about being close to the top guy in WWE.
Ricky Saints and Cody Rhodes have been close for years. During their time in AEW, that friendship was on display in the Rhodes to the Top reality series. Now, they’re both in WWE. Cody is sitting at the top as the WWE Champion, and Ricky Saints is attempting to win his first WWE NXT Championship at the upcoming WWE NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event.
During an appearance on Good Karma Wrestling, Saints was asked how much he brags about his closeness with Cody and admitted that he really doesn’t. He’s extremely proud of Cody, but to him, Cody is just his friend.
“Not a lot, actually. He’s a really good dude, great dude. He has helped me out tremendously in wrestling, outside of wrestling, with my family. My family loves him. I love his family. To me, he’s just Cody. I don’t think of him as ‘WWE Champion.’ That’s just my man right there. He’s doing it. He’s doing his damn thing.”
