Ricky Starks: I Hate Talk Of Backstage Drama, It Overshadows Stuff That Happens On Television

Ricky Starks is not a fan of the backstage drama.

Starks has been with AEW since the pandemic and has seen the locker room grow as AEW is consistently adding talent to its roster. In recent weeks, multiple reports have emerged regarding the current AEW locker room environment and a talent meeting was held before the August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Starks was asked about the current backstage environment in AEW.

"The locker room has definitely changed. Where we were once really really close, we've expanded that, we're still close, we just have more family now, more people that sit at the table. I definitely think that the drama of the backstage stuff, while it does pique the interest of people online, I fucking hate it. The reason I hate it is because it kind of overshadows some of the stuff that happens on TV. For that, I'd rather not be involved with it, but you have people backstage who have loose lips, that's what happens, and now we've created a scenario where we have all the rumors and speculation because that's all it is. I promise you, what you read is not necessarily true," he said.

On-screen Starks is involved in plenty of drama as he was turned on by his former friend and Team Taz teammate Powerhouse Hobbs.

The two will clash at AEW All Out. Fans can view the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
