Ricky Starks wants to face a pillar of NJPW at Forbidden Door.
Ricky Starks may actually win recognized AEW gold at Double or Nothing tonight but he is also the FTW Champion. With a legacy of Taz, Sabu, and Brian Cage, Starks is proud of carrying the prized possession of Team Taz.
Asked who he'd like to defend the gold against at Forbidden Door on June 26, Starks says he would rather people come to him, but named three dream opponents, two of which have been IWGP Heavyweight Champions.
"I'm not gonna say that I want these guys to come in and wrestle me because it should be an honor to wrestle me," Starks tells WhatCulture. "I will tell you this though. If by chance we needed somebody okay. It'd probably be Naito. It'd probably be SANADA. It'd probably be Okada, those three. Give me those three or give me death. I do not care."
Tonight, Starks looks to capture Tag Team Title gold alongside Powerhouse Hobbs while going against Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee as well as Jurrasic Express, the incumbent champions.
