Ricochet Defends Spot That Led To Steven Borden Injury: No One Is At Fault Here

Ricochet has defended the spot that led to Steven Borden’s injury at AEW All Out, noting that no one is at fault for the injury.

At AEW All Out this past weekend, Steven Borden would wrestle as part of a number one contenders match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, teaming with Darby Allin to take on the Don Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. During the bout, Borden and Knight would climb to the top rope on opposite corners, before clashing in midair during a double coast to coast. Borden would land hard, resulting in the bout being stopped. Borden would later undergo a CT scan, with Tony Schiavone providing two positive updates on his status throughout the show.

In a social media post on Sunday evening, Ricochet would respond to a fan criticizing Borden’s spot, noting that Logan Paul likely spent weeks practicing a similar spot with Ricochet. The AEW star would note that this was not true, while noting ‘no one is at fault’ for Borden’s injury.

“No, we tried it once and that was basically it. But it doesn’t matter if we practiced it once or 100 times. People have been hurt in wrestling doing high risk and low risk moves. It unfortunately is an aspect we face every time we step into the ring. No one is at fault here. Its just an unfortunate situation. So lets just hope that Steven continues to get better.”
