Ricochet lends his support to Roman Reigns.
The wrestling world was stunned last week when Roman Reigns announced that he would be taking time off to battle leukemia. Following the announcement, many superstars took to social media to send their well wishes to the Big Dog.
NXT North American Champion Ricochet spoke with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald and shared his thoughts on Reigns having to step away from the ring.
"At the end of the day Roman, Joe, whatever you want to call him is a real life super hero and the standard of what, not just a sports entertainer, but of what a person should be," he said. "Just from the stories I've heard and small interactions I've had. Watching him on-screen he goes out there every single night and puts his body on the line like not a lot of people can. He delivers every single time. It's sad to hear and see whenever someone like that has to, not just relinquish a title, but stop doing something they love. I know if anybody is gonna get through this it's gonna be him. He's such a strong dude that he's going to kick this things butt and come back stronger than ever. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. We're praying for him and hoping it's sooner rather than later."
Ricochet and Reigns have never shared the ring together, but that doesn't lessen the impact of Reigns' announcement and it's impact on the wrestling world.
