Ricochet Says He Wants To Join WWE

Ricochet is in a unique position. He's a highly sought out commodity that won't be available for well over a year.

The Kentucky native performs for both New Japan Wrestling and Lucha Underground, where he competes under a mask as Prince Puma. In recent months, it's been rumored that the WWE has heavy interest in the awe-inspiring star. He spoke about his goals on The Steve Austin Show recently.

"I really want to be IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, which is now Kushida. I've challenged for it twice and I've yet to win, but I want to do that. There [are] a couple of things I want to do. Now my goal, I would like to be in the WWE one day. NXT, wherever, but there [are] still a couple of things I want to do. Like, Lucha [Underground]'s still going really well. It's still going really great," He said.

Ricochet is still under contract to Lucha Underground, and will be for quite some time. Many characters on the show signed 7-season deals with the brand, while Ricochet only signed three. Season two ended earlier this week, but there's no launch date announced for season 3. According to reports, Ricochet will remain under contract until six months after his final TV appearance airs.
