Ridge Holland: I’d Advise Any Young Wrestler To Stay Off Twitter, Don’t Vent On Social Media

Ridge Holland discusses WWE firing him over his social media posts.

In November 2025, WWE released Ridge Holland. This came shortly after a series of tweets where he revealed the company wasn’t renewing his contract while he was injured.

During a recent appearance on The Mike Rand Show, Ridge Holland discussed this moment. Holland said he was going through a tough time and tweeted as a coping mechanism. He also advised other wrestlers to stay off social media and not vent publicly.

“[I was] going through a little bit of issues, some mental issues, I wasn’t in a good place. I’d advise any young wrestler to stay off Twitter, stay off social media. Don’t vent on social media. I just didn’t really have anyone to vent to, really.

So it was more or less a coping mechanism, the wrong one. The company did what the company should have done. You know, I went online and disparaged the company. Right or wrong, in the company’s eyes, it was wrong. They took the decision upon themselves to terminate my contract early. My responsibility. I’ll take full ownership.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Holland also discussed his professional rugby career. Fans can read more about it here
