Ring Announcer Samantha Irvin Moving To WWE Raw, Mike Rome To SmackDown Following 2023 WWE Draft

Samantha Irvin and Mike Rome are changing brands.

The 2023 WWE Draft took place on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown and the May 1 episode of WWE Raw. Additional picks were announced on the April 29 episode of The SmackDown LowDown and the May 1 episode of Raw Talk. Plenty of WWE Superstars changed brands, but some non-wrestlers were impacted by the WWE Draft as well.

In a post on the WWE's website, the company confirmed that Samantha Irvin and Mike Rome will change brands. Irvin will be the ring announcer on WWE Raw, and Rome will be the ring announcer for WWE SmackDown once the draft rosters take effect on Monday, May 8.

Irvin has become a fan-favorite ring announcer in recent months; her introduction of Imperium (WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns consistently garner plenty of praise.

By moving to WWE Raw, Irvin will remain on the same brand as her fiancé, Ricochet, who was drafted to the red brand alongside his tag team partner, Braun Strowman.
