Road Dogg: The Bloodline Is The Best Thing In Wrestling, There's Not A Close Second

Road Dogg believes in the Bloodline.

The dominance of Roman Reigns has been the most prominent story in WWE since he won the WWE Universal Championship over two years ago. In 2022, Reigns continued to reign supreme in WWE, becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion when he defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 38.

WWE SmackDown (4/19/2024) Results: Bayley vs Naomi, LA Knight vs AJ Styles, The Bloodline, AOP, More

With the additions of Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), the Bloodline storyline has found even more life in 2022.

Speaking on his Oh You Didn't Know podcast, WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events Road Dogg had a strong opinion about the Bloodline.

"It's the greatest in a distant history, that's for sure," he said when asked if Roman Reigns' run with the title is the greatest in history. "It's the hottest thing in sports entertainment, in professional wrestling. The Bloodline storyline, as a whole, and the intricacies in the relationship and the characters, it's the best thing in wrestling right now. There's not even a close second. That's just how it is. I don't say that because they hired me back. I say that because it's a fact. If you disagree with it, it's because you're a hater and you're not looking at the big picture, you're playing small ball. Roman Reigns and his reign have been epic and history making for the WWE as an entertainment conglomerate. It's good for business. It's best for business. We ain't even close to over."

The Bloodline story will add its next chapter on Friday when Reigns & Zayn team to face John Cena & Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
