Road Dogg On The Chance Of Vince McMahon Returning To WWE At WrestleMania 42: “Hmm, I Have No Idea”

Billy Gunn did not buy Road Dogg’s response.

On the March 30th edition of Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon showed up and attempted to give Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes some advice as he is engaged in a feud with Randy Orton going into their title match at WrestleMania 42.

On television, Orton repeated the line from Rhodes’ theme music, ‘Wrestling has more than one royal family,’ and has been teasing someone showing up. During the segment with Rhodes and Stephanie, Rhodes referenced Stephanie’s father, Vince McMahon.

Former WWE writer Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James, who left the company in March, partook in a virtual signing alongside Billy Gunn and was asked about the chance of Vince McMahon returning to WWE at WrestleMania 42, and here’s what he had to say:

James: “Hmm, I have no idea.”

Gunn: “Oh! That sounded a little like insider. Oh!! That sounded a little insider.”

James: “Y’all are making me smile,” he said in response to it being mentioned that he was smiling when answering the question.

The former WWE CEO is at the center of a sex trafficking lawsuit that was filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. James was asked what the internal reaction was to the ‘Vince scandal.’ He said there was not much conversation and believes people were too scared to talk about it.

“There wasn’t a lot of talking going on about it, to tell you the truth. I think everybody was scared to mention it at all.”

Vince and Linda McMahon are also being sued by former WWF ring boys. The plaintiffs allege that they were sexually abused as children, mainly by former WWF ring announcer Mel Phillips. The former ring boys claimed that Linda and Vince were negligent in preventing said abuse. Linda and Vince denied all responsibility and awareness.
