Road Dogg Says There Were Discussions About Bringing MJF To WWE, Adds That MJF ‘Always Had Something Better To Fall Down On’

MJF has stated that he’s turned down WWE in the past.

It was in early March that Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James exited WWE. He was serving as the co-lead writer of Friday Night SmackDown.

James made his first media appearance via a virtual signing, and one of the questions asked of him was if there were any talks about bringing the current AEW World Champion, MJF, to WWE. He said it came up a couple of times, but the trigger was never pulled. He added that MJF always had something better to fall on.

“Yes, a couple times (there were discussions about wanting to bring MJF to WWE).” James was asked why it didn’t happen, and he said, “We didn’t do it… It was always at a pivotal time and he always had something better to fall down on.”

MJF is gearing up for a defense of the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega at the Dynasty pay-per-view on April 12th.
