Robbie X & Taiji Ishimori Capture IWGP Junior Tag Titles, Attacked By United Empire Post-Match At NJPW 54th Anniversary Show

Robbie X and Ishimori’s celebration was short-lived.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented its 54th Anniversary Show on March 6th. There were two championship matches on the bill, and the first was an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title bout.

Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita) put the titles on the line against the duo of Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori.

X and Ishimori captured the titles, but their celebration was short-lived. Post-match, United Empire’s Francesco Akira and Jakob Austin Young hit the ring and went after the newly crowned champions.

A chair was placed around the neck of Robbie X, and Akira smashed another chair against it.
