Robert Stone: “Being A Full-Time Wrestler Is Something That’s In My Past & I Have No Problem With That”
Robert Stone discusses his future in the ring.
Robert Stone has held managerial roles since signing with WWE in 2019. Present day, he’s the on-screen interim General Manager for the NXT brand.
Stone has wrestled 10 times for WWE since joining the company. While on Busted Open After Dark, Stone stated that he has no problem with his full-time wrestling career being over.
“I’m in my mid-30s. I said, there’s no other managers, no one to compete with,” Stone reflected on his mindset when he joined WWE. “This is my chance to shine. I was confident speaking. I knew, ‘How much longer could I wrestle?’ Especially my style compared to how physical NXT is, so I said, ‘This is the right move for me,’ and I went all in. I’ve still got to wrestle matches since which is fun. But, being a full-time wrestler is something that’s in my past and I have no problem with that.”
Stone’s last documented bout was on the December 4th episode of TNA iMPACT, where he fell in defeat to Mike Santana.
