At the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff, Roman chose to face The Rock at WrestleMania 40. However, Cody Rhodes stepped back in, saying the decision was his to make because he won the Royal Rumble. Cody chose to face Roman.

Appearing at WWE World (via WrestlingNewsCo), Rock was asked why he thought he deserved a shot at the Undisputed WWE Title.

"What made The Rock think the title shot was his to begin with? Very easy. A few things, number one, The Rock is The Great One. Number two, The Rock, the most electrifying man the world has ever seen. Number three, The Rock is the Final Boss, which means he comes in whenever he wants, does whatever we wants, says whatever he wants. You're shaking your head, you don't agree?" Rock quipped. "If I really wanted it, The Rock should have been around? Got it. The bottom like is, at the end of the day, you're a Cody Rhodes fan, I can tell you this, after Saturday night, The Rock will apologize in advance for the ass kicking that he gives Cody Rhodes. One day when you get older you'll understand, a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do."

The Rock will now team with Roman Reigns at night one of WrestleMania 40 to take on Cody & Seth Rollins.

The Rock was nearly two hours late to his WWE World appearance.
