WWE announced that The Rock's return on the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown drew over 103 million views on social media.

On Saturday, The Rock commented on his return, saying the reaction he received in Denver was one of the top five loudest pops he's received in his career.
The Rock's return included him confronting Austin Theory, getting the crowd to call Theory an asshole and then laying him out with a people's elbow.
