The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions To Adapt Video Game Series 'It Takes Two' Into Movie For Amazon

The Rock will be adapting a popular video game franchise into a movie for Amazon.

The Rock hasn't had the best success with video game films in the past, see 2005’s Doom, but years later, The Rock will be adapting another popular video game, It Takes Two, for a movie over at Amazon.

As first reported by Variety, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce on behalf of Seven Bucks. Reportedly, Dwayne could also star in the film, but nothing is official as of now.

Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who serve as writers for all Sonic the Hedgehog films, are adapting the game for the screen and will serve as executive producers.

It Takes Two was first released back in March of 2021 and won several Game of the Year Awards.

The plot of the game, and subsequently the movie, follows May and Cody who, as they go through a divorce. The couple finds their minds transported into two dolls that their daughter, Rose, made to represent them. Now they must go on a wild and fantastical journey to find a way to get back into their bodies.
