The Rock Says Daughter Simone Is The Youngest Signee In WWE History, Started Her Training At 16

The Rock could not be more proud of his daughter, Simone Johnson, as she looks to blaze her own path in sports entertainment.

Back in 1996, The Rock made history when he became the first third-generation superstar in WWE history. Now, his daughter, Simone Johnson looks to make history on her own as she starts her journey as WWE's youngest signee.

Simone officially signed with WWE in February 2020, but The Rock revealed on Jimmy Fallon that she actually began her journey at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida much earlier.

“She signed her contract with WWE. You know, it blows my mind. First of all, I knew what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps, but more importantly, follow in my footsteps sounds cliche, but she actually wants to create and blaze her own path, which is just so important,” Rock said, beaming with pride. “She wound up being the youngest signee in the history of the company. By the way, so she's 18 now. At 16, she was working her ass off quietly, under the radar, in the ring, getting thrown around and, you know, all the bumps and bruises that go with pro wrestling and she hung in there. I'm very, very proud of her.”

When Simone signed back on February 10, WWE put out a press release including comments from Triple H, Matt Bloom, and many more. You can see the full release at this link.
