According to Dwayne Johnson, Samoa Joe is a future top-tier WWE Champion.
The Rock took to Instagram to praise a few of WWE's wrestlers. Among those singled out was Samoa Joe, who recently debuted on the main roster. When Samoa Joe debuted he was used by Triple H to attack Seth Rollins, which resulted in a serious Rollins injury. The Rock would express the world-wide veteran Samoa Joe is a throwback to a tougher era in professional wrestling.
On Sunday, Samoa Joe defeated Sami Zayn at WWE Fastlane, this was his first pay-per-view match with WWE. Also at WWE Fastlane, Raw General Manager Mick Foley asked Samoa Joe to not get involved in Kevin Owens' championship match because of the apparent relationship between Samoa Joe, Triple H, and Kevin Owens. He came to the aid of Owens last night on Raw in a brawl with Chris Jericho, then picked up a count-out victory over Y2J later in the night.
