The Rock reflects on his return.
The Rock was featured on the road to WWE WrestleMania XL, as he aligned with Roman Reigns, and they feuded with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. In The Rock's first proper match in 11 years, he and Reigns beat Rollins and Rhodes on WrestleMania Saturday. Rhodes then dethroned Reigns the next night, despite interference from The Rock and the rest of The Bloodline. The Rock's return run ended on the April 8 episode of WWE Raw, as he said he had to go away for a while, but he would be back for Rhodes.
Speaking with Mike Coppinger of ESPN, The Rock reflected on his return run.
"I have never in my entire career felt more pressure and more heat to deliver than I did during this run. No. 1 the idea of coming back and what that means ... and then being granted complete ownership of 'The Rock' and that entire trademark and everything with it, there's that pressure. Then the pressure of pivoting on a storyline that had been brewing for two years quietly and privately. ... We always knew we had the mega match with Roman and I in our back pocket. ... It feels incredibly gratifying ... to be able to deliver the way that we did as a team is the most gratifying thing about this entire journey," The Rock said.
During the interview, The Rock also teased his plans for WWE WrestleMania 41. Check out his comments here.
