Rocky Romero: Josh Alexander Would Be Picture Perfect In NJPW And The G1

Rocky Romero comments on Josh Alexander possibly being in the G1.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling's annual G1 tournament is often described as the most grueling tournament in wrestling as competitors wrestle in a round robin format multiple times a week for a month. The field largely consists of NJPW talent, but talent from other promotions help round out the pool.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Rocky Romero was asked about the possibility of IMPACT Wrestling star Josh Alexander competing in a G1 tournament.

"I think Josh is an amazing talent he's picture perfect for Japanese wrestling, especially New Japan, I think he fits perfectly. He'd be a megastar there. Coming to do the G1, that would be incredible. I think he would do really well. A lot of cool matches and dream matches I think he could have with a lot of our talents," he said.

NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling are on good terms again with Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada set to work IMPACT tapings in January.
