Roderick Strong: AEW Is A Passion Project And A Team Effort; It's Amazing

Roderick Strong reflects on what AEW means to him.

AEW burst onto the scene in 2019 and changed the wrestling landscape by providing a major alternative to WWE. Roderick Strong had over a decade of experience in the industry by the time AEW was founded and although he had finally found a niche for himself in NXT, Strong was part of the 2000s independent wrestling scene that inspired the style AEW is associated with today.

Today, Roderick Strong is happily a part of the AEW roster and is able to reflect on what the brand means to him personally and professionally.

"AEW, for me, and this is my personal opinion on it, is a passion project. Not just from our boss, Tony Khan, who is one of the most passionate wrestling coaches fans, bosses that I've ever met in my career, but the whole locker room, it's a whole group effort, and we're all coming together from something that, you know, that a company that was created just five years ago, and to where the stage we are now, like it's just a, it's a team effort and it's amazing," Strong said in a recent interview with KSLA News 12.

Roderick Strong is currently a member of the Undisputed Kingdom and will look to capture his first championship in AEW when he challenges Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Championship at AEW Revolution on March 3.
