Roderick Strong Returns To PWG At PWG TWENTY: Mystery Vortex

Roderick Strong returned to PWG at their 20th anniversary show.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla held PWG TWENTY: Mystery Vortex on August 13. The Mystery Vortex show featured a card where the matches and the talent involved were not announced in advance. Strong came to the ring and faced Michael Oku in a singles bout. The match marked Strong's first match in PWG since 2016. Strong previously left PWG after he signed with WWE in 2016.

Strong is a former PWG World Champion, and he previously spent 11 years with the company. He made his PWG debut in 2005. He is a three-time PWG World Tag Team Champion, as he held the gold with Davey Richards, Pac, and Jack Evans. Prior to his return, Strong had not wrestled for PWG since he lost to Zack Sabre Jr. at PWG Thirteen in July 2016.

Strong signed with AEW in April 2023. Since then, he has returned to the independent scene, as he has competed for Prestige Wrestling and Wrestling REVOLVER.
