Final Battle set.
Ring of Honor officially announced that Final Battle will take place on Friday, Dec. 13 at UMBC Event Center in Baltimore, MD. PWInsider first reported in July that Final Battle would be moving to Maryland.
Final Battle is typically billed as ROH's biggest event of the year. Since the inaugural event 2002, the event has been held at the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom or Hammerstein Ballroom in New York in 11 of the 17 years. Other cities to host the event include New Jersey and Philadelphia.
ROH Website writer Kevin Eck reports, "a tournament that will have major implications for the show is in the offing." No matches have been officially announced.
Baltimore has become the home market for ROH and is where the ROH Dojo is currently located.
The promotion recently held Night One of their Best in the World event on June 28 from the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore. The night was headlined by Matt Taven defending his ROH World Title against Jeff Cobb.
