The match card for New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor's forthcoming show has been loaded up.
New Japan Pro Wrestling held their post-New Japan Cup tournament press conference and at this presser, the company announced a number of matches for their G1 Supercard joint-show with Ring Of Honor at Madison Square Garden on April 6th. Kazuchika Okada won the 2019 New Japan Cup tournament and he is set to challenge Jay White for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the Garden.
Tetsuya Naito is getting his wish as the match between himself and Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship has been made official. Zack Sabre Jr. will be in action throughout WrestleMania week representing Revolution Pro Wrestling and he'll defend his RPW British Heavyweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi at G1 Supercard.
The current ROH World Tag Team Champions PCO and Brody King and the current IWGP Tag Team Champions the Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) will put their respective tag titles on the line in a Four-Way winner take all tag match that includes EVIL and SANADA and The Briscoes.
Women Of Honor World Champion Mayu Iwantani is set to defend her title at G1 Supercard against Kelly Klein. Mayu defeated Klein for the title at Ring Of Honor's 'Bound By Honor' event in February and she bested Klein again at 17th Anniversary to hold onto the gold. It has also been officially announced that the NEVER Openweight Champion Will Ospreay and ROH World Television Champion Jeff Cobb are clashing in a title versus title match at MSG.
