WWE live events underwent significant changes on Sunday.
WWE held two live events on Sunday, December 26 and both saw changes to the main matches due to COVID precautions. In New York at Madison Square Garden; Big E, Bianca Belair, Bobby Lashley, Zelina Vega, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch were all pulled due to COVID effects.
At Amalie Arena in Tampa; Roman Reigns, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Xavier Woods were pulled due to COVID effects.
WWE made announcements regarding the changing card at the start of both events, saying superstars were pulled "due to the effects of COVID-19."
Rollins took to social media to confirm he had tested positive for COVID. It is unknown if other superstars tested positive or were held off the events due to precautionary reasons.
WWE is set to hold its Day 1 pay-per-view event on January 1.
Fightful will update fans on the statuses of the superstars and any changes to events as more is known.
