Roman Reigns: I Can Take A Title And Showcase There Is A Difference When It’s On A Megastar
Roman Reigns held the WWE Championship for a modern day record of 1316 days before losing the belt at WrestleMania 40. It’s been two years since he lost, and now he goes for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42.
Reigns has done everything there is to do in WWE, but he is out to show there are levels to the game.
Speaking to Nico Leonard, Reigns was asked what keeps him going and what there is left to accomplish.
“There are some days, when I’m trying to get back into that elite level mindset or fitness, I think to myself, ‘Why am I doing this?’ Kind of like there is a watch sickness, there is a content-sickness. I’m not ready yet. I feel like I still have more. I’m very happy with what I’ve done over the past few years and I could hang my hat on that, but I know I still have more to offer. There is not any accolade I can win in wrestling now, but I can take a championship and showcase what happens to a championship when you put it on a megastar. That’s my goal. Showcase the difference when I have a title and when everybody else one. There is a difference,” he said.
Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42.
