Roman Reigns Says Vince McMahon Better Acknowledge Him If He Argued Against Dropping Universal Title

Roman Reigns knows that he's the man in WWE.

Roman Reigns is the longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion in history at 517 days and counting. It was just over a week ago that he dethroned Brock Lesnar, whose longest reign with the championship was 503 days.

During a recent appearance on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, The Tribal Chief admitted that he isn't sure if he'd argue with Vince McMahon when he's told it's time to drop the title. He notes that there are several variables to consider in that hypothetical situation.

"I'd have to be in it. It's hard to speculate on that. I'd have to be in that situation to truly know where I was. I'd have to see all the different variables and be able to see the event of that chain reaction and how it would affect everything. That's such a tricky question that I don't even know how to honestly explain what my mindset would be," Reigns said.

If the situation presented itself where Roman was compelled to argue with Vince, he says that the Chairman of the Board better acknowledge him.

"I'm the man, yeah, he better listen [laughs]. He better acknowledge me. Who else is there?," Reigns stated.

Roman is scheduled to defend the Universal Title against his former Shield brother Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble. The full card for the event can be seen here.

Fightful will have live coverage of the Royal Rumble on January 29 beginning at 7 p.m. ET with a post-show review immediately following its conclusion.
