WWE SmackDown

AEW Dynamite (4/17) Sees Total Viewership, Rating Numbers Decrease

- The show opened with Sonya Deville introducing all the members of the SmackDown Women's Survivor Series team. After Naomi interrupted the segment to confront Sonya, a brawl broke out when Shotzi cheap-shotted Sasha Banks. A 6-Woman Tag was made which ended with Aliyah picking up the win over Natalya.

Backstage, Sonya approached Aliyah and asked her how long she had been friends with Naomi. She then told Aliyah that she was no longer on the SmackDown Survivor Series team. No replacement was named.

- Los Lotharios defeated Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura, picking up their second consecutive victory on SmackDown.

- After Jeff Hardy caught Sami Zayn practicing a motivational speech and called it terrible, Sami went to Adam Pearce and demanded Jeff be taken off of the Survivor Series team. Pearce, who had NXT Superstar Von Wagner by his side, made a match for later in the night between Zayn and Hardy, with the loser being taken off Team SmackDown.

- Charlotte Flair cut a promo on her Survivor Series opponent Becky Lynch saying that she is a fabricated champion. She was then interrupted and challenged to a match by Toni Storm, but The Queen declined.

- After getting caught putting his feet on the ropes during a pinning attempt, Sami Zayn got distracted and turned his back on Jeff Hardy, allowing him to regroup, hit and Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, and pick up the victory. As a result, Sami Zayn is no longer on the SmackDown Survivor Series team.

- Jinder Mahal and Shanky made fun of Hit Row through rap.

- Ridge Holland told Cesaro that he and Sheamus would make a better team than The Bar. He then revealed that Sheamus would be making his first appearance on SmackDown since being drafted by the blue brand next week.

- SmackDown's main event saw no one bend the knee, as the Usos attacked King Woods, causing a disqualification in his match against Roman Reigns. The Universal Champion, however, still donned the crown to end the show.

AEW Rampage

- Jungle Boy defeated Bobby Fish in the opening match of the night. Adam Cole hit the ring and attacked Jungle Boy after the bell. However, when Christian Cage and Luchasaurus came to Jungle Boy's defence, Cole left Fish behind to get planted with a Killswitch.

- Hangman Page apologized to the Young Bucks for the way he treated them this past year. He followed up by saying that if they touch him before his match with Kenny Omega at Full Gear, he will end them.

- Jade Cargill defeated Santana Garrett, but a brawl broke out between her and Red Velvet after the bell. They are set to face off in the quarterfinals of the TBS Championship Tournament.

- Dante Martin defeated Ariya Daivari in singles competition.

- After The Blade introduced brass knuckles, Matt Hardy was able to pick up the win over Orange Cassidy. The entire Hardy Family Office joined in on beating up Best Friends after the bell.
