Roman Reigns: We Were In The Most Turbulent Time, But Like Any Captain, I Was Steady At The Wheel

Roman Reigns assumed the role of Tribal Chief in 2020 when he aligned with Paul Heyman, becoming the Head of the Table.

Coming out of the pandemic, Reigns has been at the top of the mountain and taken the business to new heights. Despite a sale to Endeavor, media coverage of Vince McMahon’s resignation due to a sexual assault lawsuit, or anything else going on in WWE, Reigns believes the company is fine as long as he’s locked in.

“After the run, the half-decade that I went through, we turned the business upside down. We were in the most turbulent time of all-time, transitioning into being bought by Endeavor, and forming TKO. Everything that was going on with our company in the media, but like any captain in rough seas, just steady at the wheel, doing my thing. No matter what, all this distraction and all this noise, no matter what happens, as long as I’m locked into my character and my story, and I go out there with the most compelling art form of pro wrestling and sports entertainment, none of this other bullshit matters. I was able to do that,” Reigns told Nico Leonard.

Elsewhere during the interview, Reigns said that WWE has no competition. You can find his full comments here.

Roman Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42.
