Roman Reigns Would Love Another Match With John Cena

Roman Reigns and John Cena famously clashed at No Mercy 2017 in a battle between the two faces of the company. The promos leading up to the match were of the worked shoot variety with both men attacking the off-screen character or "inside baseball" complaints fans have had.

It all culminated at No Mercy 2017 with Cena defeating Reigns.

In an interview with WWE Now India, Reigns was asked about potentially stepping back in the ring with Cena.

"I'd love it," he said. "I think it's really shown over the past year or so just how good John is and what having his presence does for our show. I really enjoyed the time that I spent in the ring with him. If you can't learn from someone like John, then shame on you. I think anytime we can have all the biggest superstars to represent WWE is a good thing. I know he's busy and killing it right now in Hollywood, but if you ever want some again, John boy, here we go."

Cena hasn't wrestled since January 14, 2019 when he competed in a fatal four-way bout on WWE Raw. He is currently slated to star in the upcoming "Fast & Furious 9" film.

Reigns will compete on Friday's SmackDown, teaming with The Usos against King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
