Roman Reigns Acknowledges Cody Rhodes Receiving Boos, Prevents Bronson Reed From Stealing His Shoes

Roman Reigns opened the August 25th episode of WWE Raw, making a couple of points before brawling with Bronson Reed.

Reigns received immediate love from the crowd, who sang “Roman, Roman Reigns” and “If you love Roman, stand up.”

Reigns asked for, and received acknowledgment, lead to an “OTC” chant. Reigns said he has big plans for the rest of this year and for next year, but he needs to be honest with himself. Reigns said it might seem like old times, but he’s not the same guy that he used to be. The crowd chanted, “Yes you are” and he said, “Maybe I can be.”

Reigns said that Cody predicted it a year and a half ago — the crowd slightly booed the mention of Cody, and Reigns responded with, “Interesting” — and that The Vision (Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed) followed through on what Cody said and took everything from him. The crowd chanted “Fuck you Rollins,” prompting Reigns to state, “That’s how I felt for a long time.”

Reigns said he doesn’t have a Bloodline and the crowd yeets. Reigns said he is proud of Jey Uso and that he deserves to be in the four-way WWE World Heavyweight Title match at WWE Clash in Paris. Reigns said The Vision took everything, and then they found something to take.

Before Reigns could address Bronson, he was interrupted by Paul Heyman.

Heyman introduced Reed and noted that five years ago this week, “Brock Lesnar’s advocate became Roman Reigns’ wiseman.” Heyman said he still loves Reigns, which is why he was out there to disrespect him. Heyman said that Reigns needed tough love, and that Bronson was man enough to beat it into him.

Reigns called Heyman a dumbass, saying he was going to kick Reed’s ass. Reed said that he was the Samoan that Reigns’ dad and uncle warned him about. Reigns was stunned by the revelation that Reed is Samoan saying, “That means your ass belongs to me.”

Reigns gave Reed a chance to return his shoes, but Reed said if he went to the ring, he would force Reigns to acknowledge him. Reigns headed up the aisle at Reed, leading to a brawl between the two. Officials tried to break them up, but failed. Reed also tried to steal a third pair of shoes, but Reigns left with his sneakers.

Reed and Reigns will face at WWE Clash in Paris.
