Romeo Malverde (Santos Escobar) Lists Names Who He Learned From In WWE

Romeo Malverde opens up about who he learned from at WWE.

For nearly seven years of his pro wrestling career, Romeo Malverde, a.k.a. Santos Escobar, was with WWE.

His time with the company came to an end, and now he is a free agent. He spoke to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed and discussed who he learned from at the sports entertainment company.

“I learned from Terry Taylor, Norman Smiley, Fit Finlay, Steve Corino, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H. The amount of knowledge and wisdom they poured into me translated into a much more mature and intelligent superstar–and a much more profitable one. I learned from AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton. I’m going to show the world what I learned, with every piece of my being, every time I step in the ring.”

Malverde has not wrestled since March 2025 when he was competing for AAA under the WWE brand.
