Ronda Rousey Admits AEW Revolution Appearance As A Bit Of A ‘Fuck You’ To TKO
Ronda Rousey surprised the wrestling world when she made an unadvertised appearance at AEW Revolution, confronting Toni Storm, who had just defeated Rousey’s good friend Marina Shafir.
Rousey left WWE in 2023 and has been outspoken regarding her time in the company, which she didn’t always enjoy.
Speaking on her vlog, Rousey commented on her AEW appearance.
“I’m thinking a less restrictive, more adult version of WWE, which sounds like a good time. It’s kind of a cool little bit of a ‘Fuck You’ to the TKO group because WWE is on Netflix, but I figured it would be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. I’m promoting a show, it’s fine. We didn’t advertise it. It’s not like we boosted the ratings. It should be fine,” she said.
Ronda Rousey is set to fight Gina Carano on May 16. The event will air on Netflix.
It is unknown if or when Rousey will return to AEW TV.
