Ronda Rousey Isn't Sure Of Her Contract Status With WWE, Keeps In Touch With Stephanie McMahon

Ronda Rousey leaves the contract talk to her lawyers.

Ronda Rousey has not been seen in a WWE ring since she lost in the main event of WrestleMania 35 nearly three years ago. Currently, she's in the alumni section of WWE's roster page and even though she had a three-year contract with the company, she only wrestled for a year and now, she is unsure if she is still contractually obligated to WWE or not.

Speaking on a Facebook gaming stream she conducted over the weekend, Ronda Rousey said she has no idea what her contract status is and she leaves that kind of discussion for her lawyers to take care of.

“I technically don't think I am [under contract to WWE], but who knows? That's a question for lawyers,” Ronda answered when a fan asked her what her status with WWE was.

Later, she was asked if she keeps in touch with Stephanie McMahon or Triple H regarding a potential return and Ronda would say that she keeps in touch with Stephanie on occasion but hasn't spoken with Triple H since his cardiac event.

“I actually keep in touch with Steph because she's sweet and we send each other baby pictures. I haven't talked to Triple H since before he had his — he had heart surgery or something. I hope he's alright.”

Recorded the weekend of Survivor Series, Ronda said that she just wanted Shayna Baszler to win but she believes that Monday Night Raw usually wins because that's Vince McMahon's favorite.

“I mean, doesn't Raw usually win? I feel like Vince's favorite is Raw. But I don't know. We'll see. I think it could be SmackDown’s year, but I just want whatever team Shayna’s on to win.”

Monday Night Raw did come away with most of the victories, except for a disqualification victory by Shinsuke Nakamura on the kickoff show and Roman Reigns defeating Big E in the main event. You can check out the full coverage of Survivor Series here.

Becky Lynch, arguably Rhonda's biggest rival in WWE, still believes that she will one day have a singles match against Ronda Rousey. You can read what Becky has to say about that matter here.
