Ronda with a Q&A ahead of Survivor Series.
Tonight at WWE Survivor Series, RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey will stand across the ring from former 8-time WWE Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. Ronda and the current SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch were slated to do battle at Survivor Series but due to a broken nose and concussion that Becky suffered this past Monday on RAW, Becky had to be pulled from the match and the following day on SmackDown Becky selected Charlotte to replace her in the Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey.
Ronda and Charlotte have had a few days to prepare for their bout and Ronda gave her thoughts about facing Charlotte on such short notice during a Q&A over her YouTube channel. Rousey stated that she has always wanted to wrestle Charlotte Flair since she began to think about a career in wrestling and added that she is born ready for moments like tonight.
“Um, well I’ve always thought about facing Charlotte ever since I thought about wrestling at all so… technically this match is on short notice." Ronda continued, "I’ve been preparing for this for the longest and yeah, it’s funny - not funny but I guess that it’s coming on short notice but who are you talking to? Born ready.”
Rousey did praise the competitor that Charlotte Flair is and shared that if she had a choice, she would've liked to add more experience to her resume' and do more before sharing the ring with "The Queen".
“Well I mean, if it was my absolute preference, I would probably choose to have more experience and be more developed in the ring before I would have the opportunity to share it with someone like Charlotte Flair but you know, opportunities come when they come. I’m ready to seize it." She said. "I’ve succeeded at crazier things before and I was thrown in the WWD bin since day one and I haven’t drowned yet so… keep sending them my way - I’ll keep doing my absolute best to keep surpassing expectations.”
