Ronda Rousey: Shayna Baszler Was The Reason I Got Into This Business, Now I Got No Reason To Stay

Ronda Rousey says she has no reason to stay following her match with Shayna Baszler.

Rousey has been feuding with Baszler, her former friend and tag team partner, in recent weeks. At WWE SummerSlam, Baszler faced Rousey in an MMA Rules Match and choked her out. Prior to the pay-per-view, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Rousey has a "hard out" date before WrestleMania 40, but further details were unclear.

In a post on Instagram, Rousey tagged Baszler and wrote that, following their match, she had no reason to say.

"@qosbaszler you were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay," Rousey wrote.

Rousey, the inaugural UFC Bantamweight Champion, joined WWE in 2018. She quickly became one of the company's top stars, and she went on to become a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion. Rousey also won the Raw Women's Championship and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. Among other highlights, she headlined WrestleMania 35 and won the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble.

Baszler recently noted that she felt like fans would appreciate her if she beat Rousey and the former champion went away. Check out her comments here.
