Ronda Rousey Comments On Nasty Finger Injury

This one might not be for the faint of heart.

While filming for the third of the Fox drama series "9-1-1" in Mexico, Ronda Rousey suffered a horrible-looking injury this past week. TMZ reported that Rousey slammed a door on her fingers while shooting a scene. In addition to her middle finger being broken and the tendon nearly severed, Rousey's ring finger suffered a fractured tip.

Rousey had been filming on the show for a while and reportedly went back to work the following day. Season three of the series premieres Monday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET.

So the word is out I nearly lost my finger shooting @911onfox. Freak accident, first take of the day a boat door fell on my hand, I thought I just jammed my fingers so I finished the take before looking (I know it sounds crazy, but I’m used to live audiences and never showing pain unless I’m supposed to) after a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws. I returned to filming the next day and finished my scenes before returning home to recover. Modern medicine amazes me, I already had 50% range of motion back in 3 days. Rousey has been out of WWE television ever since she lost her Raw Women's Championship to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match in the first-ever all-women main event at WrestleMania this past April.
