Ronda Rousey speaks to Stephen Colbert about her WrestleMania 35 injury.
Ronda Rousey hasn't been on WWE television since losing to Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania 35 in a triple threat match that also featured Charlotte Flair. During the match, Rousey suffered a broken knuckle and had to undergo surgery for the injury. Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Rousey, wearing a cast, discussed her injury.
"I need to get better at faking it. (The broken finger) is from the main event of WrestleMania," said Rousey. "There was a point in the match where I was teasing that I was gonna throw a girl through a table and then I went, 'tables are for bitches!' and I threw the table. I was coming in hot, I started punching, and sometimes you catch a pinky with an elbow. I remember looking at my hand and seeing I had six knuckles and was like, 'Man, I have to punch so much more after this.'"
The former Raw Women's Champion is currently taking time off from WWE in an effort to start a family with husband Travis Browne. It is unknown when, or if, she will return to the company.
