Rocky Romero gets by with a little bit of help from his friends.
Rocky Romero and Trent? have not teamed since January 30, 2019, when they lost to Juice Robinson and Tracy Williams at New Japan Pro-Wrestling The New Beginning in USA.
Since then, Trent has moved on and has formed a successful tag team with Chuck Taylor in AEW. Due to the “Forbidden Door” being open, Rocky Romero is able to compete on the May 24 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation and earned a victory over JD Drake.
Following the match, the rest of Drake’s cohorts in The Wingmen hit the ring to attack Romero but it would not be long before Rocky Romero had some help.
Trent, Chuck Taylor, Orange Cassidy, and Kris Statlander all hit the ring to help Romero end the theme song for Roppongi Vice blared over the PA system in Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. To end the show, Best Friends, Cassidy, and Statlander would give Romero a group hug.
