After costing each other chances to get into the Iron Survivor Challenge and nearly tearing each other apart in the trainer's room on December 5. Ava took it upon herself to talk to Shawn Michaels and get a cage match booked between the two rivals for NXT Deadline.

Perez and James were determined to qualify for the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge, but James cost Perez her chance, and The Prodigy returned the favor before they took each other out in the Last Chance Iron Survivor Qualifying Fatal 4-Way Match.
