Royal Rumble Title Match, Stipulation Set

With Royal Rumble still five weeks away, we already have a championship match set for the show.

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens will defend his title against United States Champion Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble pay-per view.

A stipulation was added to the match, after Chris Jericho cost Reigns the title by attacking his friend Kevin Owens, causing a DQ. Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a cage. If he doesn't follow orders, he's banned from the WWE.

While Reigns is the United States Champion, there was no announcement as to whether or not his title will be on the line, although it isn't likely. It will make three consecutive WWE PPVs that he hasn't defended the championship.

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place January 29 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have been announced for the main event Royal Rumble match.
