Royce Keys Says ‘The Plan Was Laid Out’ In Regards To Not Going To NXT

Royce Keys (Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW) made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble, entering the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Keys was off television for months, but returned to make his SmackDown debut on the April 10 episode.

While some talents go to NXT first, there have been others who went right to the main roster upon signing with the company. Keys fell into the latter category.

Speaking to Joey Karni on Unseen, Keys was asked if the plan was for him to always go straight to the main roster.

“The plan was laid out. I just have to execute anything they lay out,” he said.

Royce Keys is officially part of WWE SmackDown. He won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania.

While making the media rounds ahead of WrestleMania, Keys discussed his decision to work dark matches while waiting to be used on television. You can find his full comments here.
