Ruby Soho Praises Ronda Rousey, Nyla Rose On AEW In NYC, CM Punk Likes Bron Breakker | Fight Size

Here is your fight size update for Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

- Speaking to Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions Podcast, Ruby Soho, formerly Ruby Riott, praised Ronda Rousey for her adaptability while getting acclimated to life in WWE.

Yeah, it was awesome. Ronda is so great. I can't say enough nice things about her. She is incredibly humble and she’s always approached it from a way of like, I know that this is a sport that I don't know a lot about, but I want to learn and she absorbed it all like a sponge. Her instincts were on point, she picked everything up super quickly and she was just amazing. She was so fun to work with. It was such an awesome thing too, because like a lot of times where you kind of feel like things get monotonous when you approach matches and stuff, where you're like, I approach this opponent kind of this the same way as I approach this one. With her, it was something where I had to hit a hard reset and be like, Okay, well, this girl can give me a whole she does, I'm done. It was awesome to be able to have to think differently than I had previously with opponents, I had to approach it differently and it just got my creative juices flowing and hers as well. She was awesome. She was like, All the things that are illegal in mixed martial arts, tell me all of them, because those are all the things I'm gonna do so she was the one who rallied for the singles match that we had after Elimination Chamber. She was the one who asked for that and so I thought that was really, really awesome of her to do that and that was the first time in a singles match and the only time I believe in a singles match that I main evented Monday Night Raw.

- Ruby also hyped her match tonight against Britt Baker.

This all happened way faster than I ever anticipated. I only got here a couple weeks ago. So I know that I don't have any time to waste. I have to prepare as much as humanly possible and it's been a long time since I've had like that high caliber of a match. I need to prove to myself that I can do it. Because it's been it has been such a long time since you know, I've had such like a high caliber, like singles match that I can really prove to myself and you know, hopefully everybody else that like there's a reason that y'all were excited to see me there's a reason that I have so much more to offer. There's a reason that I'm here in this moment and this time, it's to prove that I still got it and then I hope I can, I honestly hope I can. So I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous, but I'm excited.

- Speaking on the LGBT Sport Podcast, Nyla Rose discussed her excitement to see AEW debuting in New York City.

I am really looking forward to that show and for a multitude of reasons. But selfishly, New York -- the whole East Coast, Mid Atlantic area, that was my stomping ground. That was home to me on the independents. I worked New York, New Jersey, so much people thought I was from New York. I would I would Hey, can you can you be here in like an hour? No, I can't and then they're finding out Oh, you you don't live in New York? No. Why would you think that? Well, you are always here.

So being able to perform in Arthur Ashe Stadium is -- I don't know if I can wrap my mind around it. I really am having the struggle of juggling like, do I want to be on the show, or do I just want to sit back with those fan goggles and just soak it all in? Therein lies the predicament.

- Daniel Bryan tells Complex he's very excited about wrestling Dante Martin.

There are so many, and there are so many people of different styles, right? There’s a mix of veteran guys and younger guys that I’d love to get in the ring with… I’d love to get in the ring with Jon Moxley, where we’re able to just do whatever we want. You know what I mean? Same thing with Cody. I wrestled those guys before, but then there are the younger guys. I know Punk really wanted to wrestle Darby Allin. I want to wrestle Darby Allin, too. I think he’s great. There are the Jungle Boys and the MJFs, but then there’s also guys like Daniel Garcia who wrestles a very technical style. I’d love to wrestle him.

There’s Dante Martin, who is like, 20 years old, right? He just does these things. I don’t think I met him at All Out. I met him in the hotel the next day, and I was like, “dude.” I’ve watched all sorts of wrestling from all over the world, and he does things that I’ve never seen before. It’s rare that I see something I’ve never seen before, you know what I mean? That’s one of the reasons I decided to go to AEW, because there are so many new matchups for me, and so many things that I look at and be like, “whoa, that’s exciting. That seems like a lot of fun.”

- CM Punk is also excited about wrestling Dante.

"I think that speaks very highly of [MLW] honoring tradition wrestling. It's stacked to say the least. So the cool thing about it is any person could win that tournament and no one will be surprised like there is no underdog and, uh, yeah, of course it's really not giving me an easy time and I'm definitely earning my paycheck. I got Tom Lawler the first round. So I'll be, I'll be a little sore after that one, but I look forward to it. Tom's an excellent competitor. I look forward to the challenge. I'm very familiar. I've actually seen a lot of Tom's stuff and yeah, we are very, very similar. You know, me and him were compared to each other in the last I checked him out. He is an excellent athlete. It may be the only wrestler uglier than me. So we match on multiple levels."

- Speaking with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda, Rich Swann commented on Christian Cage winning the IMPACT Championship.

"You know, I think Christian Cage has always been great," said Rich Swann. "This isn't the first time he's come to IMPACT. Of course, everybody knows, years ago he left the other place to come and prove to the world that he was World Championship worthy. And, he's done it again. He's got himself in amazing shape, he's not just somebody that's coming in just to get the spotlight, he's somebody that's coming in and ready to go."

- When the market closed today, WWE stock was trading at $53.38 per share.

- Aron Stevens, formerly Damien Sandow, appeared on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted. "Yeah, I was supposed to win it. I was supposed to cash in (successfully). Cody and I had our feud, everything was great," Sandow said. "I heard I was going to win the world title, Cody chases me, and then we do the whole (feud). We had a whole wonderful thing planned and, yeah, didn't happen, but whatever."
