RUMOR: WWE Interested In TNA Video Library, Corgan Majority Owner, Stars Comment

If a new report is true, the American wrestling landscape is changing big time.

Upgruv wrestling analyst Justin Labar posted on Twitter that he was informed that WWE is buying TNA's tape library. Also, Billy Corgan will be the new majority owner of TNA Wrestling, and will likely re-brand the company.

Current majority owner Dixie Carter has been hesitant to re-brand the company, despite many pushing for her to do so, we're told. Aeroluxe already owns the TNA name, and the company has been operating under 'Impact Ventures' for several months,

As we reported yesterday on Fightful.com, Dixie Carter didn't do herself any favors with many talents at the Monday backstage meeting, as she wasn't accountable for the company's errors. It was also said that she seemed 'oblivious' to the situation.

Jim Ross has also said that, "Right now we hear that WWE and TNA have had talks regarding WWE buying the library, and that that deal is imminent," on The Ross Report.

A TNA talent that we reached out to said, "I have no idea where this comes from, or if it's true, or anything, because they say nothing. My guess is 'no and absolutely not.' It's getting insane. People make (stuff) up and report it as truth."

Fightful.com is working to verify the reports.
