His first WrestleMania match took place at WrestleMania 31 when he lost the United States Championship to John Cena.

Throughout the last few years, Rusev has been involved in a couple of storylines featuring Lana, Aiden English, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley among others and was even part of the League of Nations alongside Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus and King Barrett.

Rusev last wrestled on the February 17 episode of Raw when he teamed up with Humberto Carrillo to face Angel Garza and Lashley in a tag team match. Rusev and Carrillo would end up losing the match.
