Rusev is no longer with WWE.
Before WWE officially confirmed it, Rusev tweeted the following, adding his name to the list of many wrestlers that were also released.
Thank you All, Rusev out!— Miro (@RusevBUL) April 15, 2020
Rusev first signed with WWE in 2010, starting out in FCW before heading to NXT. After appearing in the 2014 Royal Rumble, Rusev started wrestling on both Raw and SmackDown and won the United States Championship three times. His first WrestleMania match took place at WrestleMania 31 when he lost the United States Championship to John Cena.
Throughout the last few years, Rusev has been involved in a couple of storylines featuring Lana, Aiden English, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley among others and was even part of the League of Nations alongside Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus and King Barrett.
Rusev last wrestled on the February 17 episode of Raw when he teamed up with Humberto Carrillo to face Angel Garza and Lashley in a tag team match. Rusev and Carrillo would end up losing the match. Rusev's last pay-per-view match took place at the 2019 edition of TLC when he lost a tables match against Lashley.
