Rusev Says 99.9% Of The WWE Roster Feels Overlooked

Lana goes to bat for Rusev.

"The Ravishing Russian" Lana and former 3-time WWE United States Champion Rusev have been working WWE's European tour. Lana was last featured on WWE programming at WrestleMania 35 during the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal and Rusev last wrestled on TV on the April 16th edition of SmackDown Live. Despite working weekly live events, Lana feels that Rusev should be getting more title opportunities and that he should be champion. She went on to compare how she's not billed as a "Super Athlete" but she received three chances to become SmackDown Women's Champion.

Six-Man Tag, Mixed Tag, X-Division Title Bout, More Announced For TNA Under Siege

"I mean, Rusev should get more title opportunities." Lana said during an interview with Express Sport. "He should be champion, that’s just the bottom line. He’s been there six years and he’s had one title opportunity, I had three. I’m not the Super Athlete. My first singles match was for the title. There’s no question if Rusev should be champion. That’s just a given, it’s true, we all know that he’s the best and number one.”

Rusev added in a note about the majority of the roster feeling overlooked. He accredited that to everyone wanting to be champion and on top when that is not possible and says the loud chants and crowd support does not lead up to one becoming champion.

“It’s not just us, 99.9 percent of the roster feels overlooked because we’re all so good and we’re all so passionate. Everybody wants to be a champion and everybody can be a champion because we’re that good. It’s just that there [are] only so many titles. You gotta find what sticks out, you gotta be different. It doesn’t matter if [we hear] Rusev Day or Lana Day chants or whatever it is, the most hyped thing doesn’t make you a champion. There’s so many moving parts to become a champion, it’s beyond my head. Only Vince McMahon knows these things.” Rusev said.
