RUSH says he can beat Kenny Omega.
Kenny Omega is currently collecting championships from a multitude of promotions including IMPACT Wrestling and AAA Lucha Libre. On top of that, he is the AEW World Champion. Later this summer, he will wrestle Andrade at TripleMania for the AAA Mega Championship. One company that Kenny Omega has not tried to venture out to thus far in his quest for gold is ROH.
RUSH, who is close friends with Andrade and the current Ring of Honor World Champion, has all the confidence in his world that his friend will be able to beat Kenny Omega.
Now, Speaking with Sports Illustrated, RUSH says that should Kenny Omega be able to make it past Andrade, he believes he would have no problem dethroning Kenny for the AAA Mega Championship.
"If Andrade doesn’t win, I’ll be the one to take the championship off Kenny Omega. If I get into the ring against Omega, I’ll take his title and make it very clear who is number one in the ring."
Andrade has also debuted in AEW but as the boundaries of wrestling continue to be stretched and more promotions continue working with one another, RUSH believes that there is a possibility Andrade could also show up in Ring of Honor, and if he does, RUSH believes people will see something they have never seen before.
“After all we have been through, it has made us brothers. So at some point, Andrade may come. People will see something different if Andrade comes to Ring of Honor. If that happens, there will be no one who can stop LFI.”
Before any of that happens, RUSH must make it past Bandido at ROH Best in the World on Sunday, July 11 when he defends his Ring of Honor World Championship in front of a live audience as Ring of Honor welcomes back fans for the first time since the pandemic.
