ROH announced RUSH will meet Mark Haskins at their television taping the night after their 17th Anniversary Event.
RUSH and Haskins are relative newcomers to ROH but certainly aren’t new to pro wrestling. RUSH is one of the biggest stars in CMLL in Mexico, and Haskins has made a name for himself in the U.K. Both men are just entering their primes at 30 years old and have more than a decade of experience.
RUSH, who has looked impressive in scoring victories over The Kingdom’s TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia since coming to ROH, will face Bandido, Haskins’ teammate in LifeBlood, at the ROH 17th Anniversary pay-per-view in Las Vegas the night before he takes on Haskins. Haskins -- who won ROH’s inaugural International Cup last year by defeating “Hangman” Adam Page, Flip Gordon and Jonathan Gresham -- surely will be watching the RUSH-Bandido match intently.
RUSH versus Haskins undoubtedly has show-stealing potential, but it also will be interesting to see if the bout between the two fan favorites turns into a fight. As a member of LifeBlood, Haskins is all about adhering to the Code of Honor, but he doesn’t hesitate to fight fire with fire. Conversely, RUSH -- who is popular with fans due to his talent and charisma -- has a noted nasty streak and is not above breaking the rules.
