Ryan Clancy: Mike Santana Is One Of The Hardest Hitting People I’ve Ever Been In The Ring With, But I Made Sure That I Gave It Back To Him Tenfold

Ryan Clancy comments on wrestling Mike Santana.

Earlier in February at Beyond Ballroom Blitz, Ryan Clancy got to wrestle Mike Santana.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Clancy was asked how it felt to get World Champions such as MJF and Santana to speak highly of him. Clancy said the following about Santana.

“It never dawns lightly on me because I think that the best way to go about this, and at least I’ve found for me, is balance. You need to be able to hang when you’re in the ring, but you also need to have something creatively that other people can latch onto.

Getting the opportunity to wrestle TNA World Champion, and the fact that he asked for the match with me, I’m not going out of my way to be like, ‘I need to wrestle this guy.’ I’m taking the opportunities as they come. He doesn’t have to do that. He doesn’t have to come in to wrestle me, but man, I’ll tell you, he is probably one of the hardest hitting people I’ve ever been in the ring with. I made sure that I definitely gave it back to him tenfold.

It was a very physical match and if anybody has the opportunity to check that one out, I truly would put that match up even still not wrestling these last three months. I would put that match up against anything from anywhere this whole year.”
