Ryan Clancy Reacts To MJF Insult: ‘I Found It Very Ironic That Someone Who Flew Across The World To Get Hair Transplant Would Mention Somebody Else’s Looks’

Ryan Clancy comments on the MJF insult. 

Earlier in March, MJF commented on Ryan Clancy during an interview with Undisputed. Regarding facing Clancy in a wrestling match, the AEW World Champion said the following. 

“As far as Clancy goes specifically, I’ve had my eye on him for quite some time now. He’s very special. A traditionalist and a minimalist bell to bell, much like myself. He’s strategic and athletic, also much like myself. Unfortunately, he’s quite ugly. But if he gets signed to a major wrestling promotion, that’s what money is for–he’ll find himself a good plastic surgeon and he could be a top guy.”

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful for a new interview, Clancy was asked about this MJF insult. 

“I remember seeing that and I found it very ironic that someone who flew across the world to get hair transplant would mention somebody else’s looks. But what Max does in the ring is, he’s the World Champion for a reason. I was very flattered to see and hear that someone like himself is able to see me and what I bring to the table. I would like to say I’m very confident, not very cocky, but I know how great I am and it’s awesome to see that a lot of other great wrestlers think so as well. So hopefully the opportunity comes about for maybe one day Max and I can get in the ring together.”
